We would like to welcome you to our home on the web. Creative Montessori Center was founded in 1972. CMC was intended to be a premier school at a reasonable price. We have gone through many changes over the years: staff members have come and gone, locations have changed, “Specials Classes” have varied, even grade offerings have fluctuated. Through it all, CMC has stood by their promise of providing an exceptional education. Since 2005, CMC has been at its current location in Trenton, MI.

Our Mission Statement:

A truly educated individual is motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love for knowledge. The goal of CMC is to cultivate the child’s own natural desire to learn. This is approached in two different ways: by allowing the child to experience the excitement of learning by his own choice, and by helping him to perfect all his natural tools for learning. The habits and skills a child develops in a Montessori class are good for a lifetime. CMC is here to help children develop these habits and skills.

OPEN HOUSE

We will be having an open house for new and current families. The Open House will be Monday through Thursday (9-11 am & 1-3 pm) and Thursday night from 7-8 pm. Come and meet your fellow students, directress and school staff! Hope to see you there!

The students have been learning about the human body in Discovery Class (with Mrs. Sue.) The elementary students assembled a plaster skeleton, and labeled the bones. The preschool and kindergarten students made "brain hats"!

KITE-A-QUE

The elementary students had a "Kite-a'Que" on Friday, April 15th. This was a great day; they flew kites outside (& had a perfect day for it!!), ate hot dogs, and enjoyed "old-fashioned" games (like dominoes, hop-scotch, chinese jump-rope, and jacks). This was a great alternative to a spring party, and everyone had a great time!!
