1. Financial Update & Purchases

A) Current Account Balance= $2,981.40

3. Activities & Upcoming Events

A) Pizza Wednesday

« Pizza Wednesday is the first Wednesday of each month, dates will be 5/5/10, and 6/2/10

« Students receive 2 slices of pizza, fruit, cookies, and milk;Cost= $2/student pre-K and K, elementary students will be able to purchase larger portions for $3/student

« Volunteers are needed to assist with supervising students during lunchtime, please be sure to contact Cecelia Bencher to volunteer

« Standard CMC bill rate of $5 applies to provide care for children staying for lunch; this fee is waived for students whose parents/caregivers volunteer on Pizza Day

B) April Activities

« April 19^th- Artfully Yours Pottery

« April 23^rd- Mrs. Angie Kenrick, Michigan author will visit, 1^st presentation PreK 10:00-10:30, 2^nd presentation K-6 10:40-11:25. Children who do not attend on this date or time are invited to attend a session with their parent.

« April 28^th- Wendy’s Night 5:00-8:00. CMC will receive a portion of all sales, no flyer required. Wendy’s on Allen Rd. in Woodhaven.

« April 28^th- Spring Picture Day!

« April 29^th-Special Person Night 7:00-8:00 p.m.

« April 30^th- Babysitting Night! Proceeds to benefit Mrs. Kim’s class trip.

« May 3^rd- Olga’s Night Fundraiser

« May 5th- Cookie Dough Delivery, Pizza Day!

« May 6^th- Leader Dogs for the Blind p.m. only, Parent Guild Meeting

« May 7^th- Cookie Stroll to benefit Penrickton Center for the Blind

« May 10^th- Teacher Appreciation Pot Luck Luncheon, Chair needed please contact kzanetti@ford.com or cbencher@hotmail.com

« May 11^th- Leader Dogs for the Blind, a.m. only

« May 23^rd- Salmon release 2:00 p.m., Huroc Park. PG will provide an ice cream treat for children and parents!

« 2010-2011- Mobile Zoo fall of 2010, Santa Shop 12/15/10

4) Fundraising

A) Current Fundraisers

« Spring Flower fundraiser. Order on-line at: http://tinyurl.com/yzetzv6, have raised $62.50 so far.

« Cookie Factory Cookie Dough due 4/13/2010. Proceeds will benefit Penrickton Center for the Blind.

« Dearborn Sausage and Ham raised $807.70

« Olga’s Night 3/1/10 raised $210.09, 4/12/10 raised $86.72

B) On-going Fundraisers

« CMC continues to participate in Target, Meijer, Gordon Foods, Box Tops for Education, and Tyson labels

« CMC is collecting foil drink bags (Capri Sun and other brands), tops are recycled through Tera-Cycle and the school receives 5cents/ bag

The next meeting is Thursday May 6th at 7:00 PM in the Specials Room. Meetings have been scheduled as followed: 6/1/10. Please mark your calendar to attend, your help is needed!
